Job Title: Payroll Testing Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking a Payroll Testing Consultant to support a large-scale payroll implementation, focusing primarily on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and payroll validation. The ideal candidate will have recent, hands-on experience with mid-to-large-scale enterprise payroll implementations and a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, testing, and union payroll requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on UAT and test scenarios for an enterprise payroll implementation.
• Validate payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, overtime, and overall payroll results.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects and configuration issues.
• Perform end-to-end payroll testing and verify system functionality against business requirements.
• Collaborate with payroll, IT, and implementation teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Test union-specific payroll rules and requirements, where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting a mid-to-large-scale enterprise payroll implementation.
• Strong hands-on UAT and payroll system testing experience.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processing and validation.
• Experience with test case execution, defect management, and issue resolution.
• Ability to contribute immediately with minimal training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with union payroll and union-specific pay rules.
• Experience with complex enterprise payroll environments and parallel payroll testing.

Important: This role is approximately 70% implementation testing/UAT and 30% payroll-related activities. Candidates must be available to work onsite in downtown Chicago four days per week.
