Take your career in education to the next level by supporting special education teams within a welcoming school community. In this unique role, you will be an integral member of the Evaluation Team, collaborating with special education staff to facilitate essential evaluation processes across multiple schools within Champlin, MN. While you won’t work directly with students, your organizational skills and attention to detail will drive student support—ensuring that all necessary documentation and evaluation components are completed accurately and efficiently.
This contract position begins September 8, 2026, and continues through June 8, 2027, following a Monday through Friday schedule for 32.5 hours per week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The Evaluation Team’s home base is the ESC, with travel to various schools throughout Champlin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with special education staff to assist in completing student evaluations
- Organize and maintain student files, testing protocols, and documentation
- Complete observation notes and write-ups for the assessment process
- Manage confidential student information and purge records as needed
- Balance a fast-paced, high-volume workload while maintaining strict accuracy and confidentiality
Desired Qualifications:
- Must meet Minnesota “Highly Qualified Para” requirements by one of the following:
• Passing the MN Para Educator Exam or Parapro Exam (submit score documentation)
• Completion of at least 60 college credits (unofficial/official transcripts required) - Demonstrated self-direction and ability to work independently
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with special education processes or school support roles is a plus
