Exciting opportunities are available to support young learners as a contract paraprofessional in an engaging, center-based program for children ages 2½ to 3. Bring your compassion, adaptability, and expertise to a rewarding educational setting, where you’ll work side-by-side with dedicated professionals and help foster development during critical formative years. This contract runs from September 8, 2026, to December 7, 2026, with consistent hours from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
What We’re Looking For:
- Highly qualified status (must complete one of the following before being presented):
- Pass the MN Para Educator Exam (documentation required), or
- Hold at least 60 college credits with accompanying transcripts (diplomas/degrees alone are not sufficient)
- Experience working with young children or in a paraprofessional role is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff in a center-based environment
- Excellent communication, patience, and a nurturing demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to support students with varying instructional, social, and behavioral needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities under the supervision of licensed staff
- Support students in daily classroom routines, ensuring safety and engagement
- Facilitate individualized and small-group learning, modeling social and behavioral expectations
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Track and document student progress as directed
- Collaborate regularly with educational professionals and families
