Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students in a vibrant educational community near Elk River, MN. Multiple contract positions are available, with opportunities to contribute at one of several dynamic high schools. Candidates can express preference for their school site, ensuring a best-fit match for both interests and commute—be sure to let us know which location you’re most excited about.
Your commitment will span the fall semester, with 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting approximately August 31, 2026. After 90 days, successful candidates can transition to a direct hire position within the district.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be “highly qualified” with ONE of the following:
- Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam)
- At least 60 college credits (official transcripts required for presentation)
- Resume and highly qualified documentation are essential for consideration
- Willingness to support students with personal and educational needs, including toileting assistance if necessary
- Experience working in high school or with adolescents is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for high school students
- Collaborate with educators and staff to implement daily learning activities and adaptation
- Assist students with academic, behavioral, and physical support needs
- Demonstrate flexibility and empathy in a fast-paced school setting
