Job Description
A Physician Assistant (PA) provides healthcare services typically performed by a physician. They perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, and assist in surgeries and patient care. The PA works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of quality medical care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical examinations and take medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
- Assist in surgical procedures and patient care management
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with healthcare regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years in clinical practice
- Certification from an accredited PA program
- State Medical License for PA
