Established and growing real estate owner and developer with a diversified portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The firm has an active development pipeline and is seeking an experienced development executive to work closely with ownership and lead the execution of complex development projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead development projects from initial evaluation and due diligence through entitlements, construction, completion, and stabilization.
• Work directly with the Principals on development strategy, project execution, and key business decisions.
• Manage complex zoning, entitlement, permitting, and municipal approval processes.
• Oversee architects, engineers, contractors, attorneys, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Take ownership of project schedules, development budgets, milestones, and overall execution.
• Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Evaluate development opportunities, project feasibility, budgets, and financial returns.
• Coordinate closely with acquisitions, construction, finance, asset management, and property operations.
• Participate in development financing and interactions with lenders and capital partners.
• Establish and improve development processes, reporting systems, project controls, and organizational best practices.
• Provide senior leadership with clear reporting on project status, budgets, schedules, risks, and strategic issues.
• Help build and scale the firm's development platform as its pipeline continues to grow.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressively responsible real estate development experience.
• Significant experience leading complex development projects through the full development lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in entitlements, zoning, permitting, design, construction, and project execution.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, attorneys, and municipalities.
• Strong understanding of development budgets, underwriting, financial analysis, and project economics.
• Experience working with development financing, lenders, and capital partners.
• Proven ability to manage multiple significant projects simultaneously and drive them through completion.
• Strong business judgment, negotiation skills, and executive-level communication abilities.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to operate effectively in a privately held real estate organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
