Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Portfolio Dolls team is seeking a Sr. Marketing Associate to bring incredible properties like KPop Demon Hunters, Disney Princess, Frozen and Wicked to life with our iconic dolls. As a member of our Global Brand Team, you’ll partner closely with licensors and cross-functional teams across Mattel to create the product line, drive business strategy and develop strong marketing assets for an exciting and fast-paced portfolio.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Support team in gaining buy-in across all levels and with licensors, as well as executional commitment from internal partners to activate across key markets and key lines of business
• Contribute to development of 3 – 5 year toy product roadmaps, balancing innovation and refresh cycles
• Support the toy pricing architecture and competitive positioning decisions through market analysis and business recommendations
• Work closely with the Product Design, Packaging and Development teams to bring compelling toys to market on time and on budget, backed by Consumer Insights
• Prepare competitive analyses tracking consumer trends and brand performance to identify key opportunities in the market
• Collaborate with Associate Marketing Manager to report on toy business performance (revenue, margin, SKU productivity)
• Partner with Brand Marketing to develop storytelling for global marketing campaigns and assets
• Facilitate relationship with licensors by developing strategic communications and maintaining key planning materials to support timely decision-making
• Coordinate key product development activities, including sample requests, asset distribution and licensor meeting logistics, to support cross-functional alignment and on-time execution
• Present with confidence to drive brand strategy and products

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years experience in marketing, preferably in product development
• Ability to comfortably collaborate with creative, engineering and manufacturing teams
• Excellent at storytelling, presentations and influencing leadership. Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to leverage analysis and insights to support product recommendations and distribution strategies
• Highly organized, independent and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
• Strong time management, planning and project execution skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationships

The pay range for this position is between $92,000 and $115,000 annually. The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
