Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical

Schedule: - 3 shifts per week, days/nights - Flexible end date but must run through holiday season - On-call shifts required

Assignment Details: - 22 to 26-week contract - Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week + 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks

Requirements: - New York State RN Licensure required - BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only) required - NIHSS certification required - 2 years of Med/Surg experience required

Roles & Responsibilities: - Apply nursing knowledge and skills in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families. - Assess patient/family needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. - Provide direct patient care and evaluate patient progress. - Educate patients and families about self-care and lifestyle changes necessary for ongoing health. - Promote a safe and healing environment while advocating for patient rights. - Document care provided and patient responses accurately.

Compliance / Notes: - Orientation requirements and compliance with infection prevention strategies are mandated. - Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated.
