About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist III to support inventory management, supply chain operations, material accountability, and transportation activities within a highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing inventory records, coordinating shipments, maintaining property accountability, and ensuring compliance with domestic and international logistics requirements.


This role requires strong attention to detail, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to work with logistics databases, inventory systems, and supply chain processes.


Key Responsibilities


Logistics & Supply Chain Operations

• Prepare and maintain logistics documentation for spare parts, tools, test equipment, materials, and technical manuals.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, transfers, and inventory transactions.
• Track and allocate logistics materials and inventory throughout storage facilities.
• Ensure compliance with shipping, import/export, and transportation regulations.
• Support inventory planning and supply chain activities to maintain operational readiness.

Inventory & Property Management

• Maintain accurate inventory, asset, and property accountability records.
• Track, reconcile, and audit equipment, repair parts, and supply transactions.
• Update inventory databases and automated supply systems with accurate data.
• Conduct physical-to-system inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support asset lifecycle management and inventory reporting activities.

Records & Documentation

• Manage electronic and physical property records.
• Scan, organize, digitize, and archive maintenance and logistics documentation.
• Research and resolve documentation errors, missing records, and inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain auditable records in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Auditing

• Support inventory and property accountability reviews.
• Ensure inventory processes adhere to established compliance standards.
• Maintain documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Assist with discrepancy investigations and corrective action documentation.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to track inventory and logistics metrics.
• Analyze material data, part records, and inventory movements.
• Generate reports to support operational and supply chain decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in logistics, inventory management, supply chain operations, warehouse operations, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of inventory control and supply chain principles.
• Experience working with inventory databases and logistics systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Higher education may substitute for some experience requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
• HazMat training or certification.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Experience using FedEx, UPS, DHL, or similar shipping software.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of shelf-life management practices.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, aviation, military, or government-related operations.

Preferred Systems Experience


Experience with one or more of the following:

• Inventory and supply management systems
• Asset accountability databases
• Logistics tracking platforms
• Government or military logistics systems
• Maintenance record management systems

Physical Requirements

• Frequently sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs.
• Perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, or move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with detailed documentation and computer systems.
• Ability to distinguish colors and maintain visual focus for inventory and record-keeping tasks.

Work Environment

• Office and warehouse-based environment.
• Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Occasional exposure to elevated noise levels.
• Limited exposure to industrial materials and equipment.
