Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.91 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM; Wed 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen people, bags, packages, and/or personal items entering the location using approved equipment and inspection procedures, and report prohibited items or irregular findings according to site guidelines. Verify identification, review access permissions, and direct authorized individuals to the appropriate entrance, office, and/or waiting area while maintaining accurate entry documentation. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and/or public officials as needed. Monitor screening checkpoints and surrounding access areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and document security‑related concerns, incidents, and/or policy violations. Minimum Requirements Possess 2+ years of security‑related experience. Possess proof of high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
