Heavy Equipment Operator – Engel Excavating Engel Excavating is a growing civil construction contractor performing earthwork, mass grading, demolition, and wet utilities throughout Wisconsin and the UP (Michigan). We are seeking talented, experienced operators to join our team! We are a union signatory contractor based out of Oshkosh, WI. Primary Work Operate excavators, dozers, and loaders on various site work projects Earthwork, mass grading, underground wet utilities Daily machine inspections and basic maintenance Report directly to foremen and work with crews to complete projects safely What You Can Expect 8–12 hour days typical, M-F with occasional weekends Maintained, late‑model equipment Per diem for travel over 90 milesUnion pay scale and benefits Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Considerable knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles and the ability to operate machinery in various conditions Basic understanding of grades and construction drawings Understand and follow site safety requirements Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) Ability to work outdoors and travel 5 days per week (home on weekends) Pass pre-employment drug screening We’re Looking For Reliable attendance, positive attitude each day Respect for coworkers, superiors, and equipment Safety-focused work habits Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
