Midlevel Tax Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Midlevel Tax Associate to join its office in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of experience in transactional tax matters, with a preference for those experienced in renewable energy projects and credits, including tax equity and credit transfers. Duties Draft and review partnership, joint venture, and limited liability company agreements. Handle tax aspects of equity and debt financing transactions. Draft, review, and negotiate tax provisions in merger, stock purchase, and asset purchase agreements. Requirements Four to six years of experience in transactional tax matters. Experience with renewable energy projects and credits preferred. Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred. Certifications Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
