Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric clientele utilizing standardized assessments and clinical observations.
• Craft tailored treatment strategies to address immediate communication challenges alongside long-term cognitive or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused, individual speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing techniques.
• Work in concert with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop coherent care plans.
• Offer education and resources to patients and their loved ones, extending therapeutic progress beyond the clinic setting.
• Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, reinforcing continuity of care throughout the treatment pathway.
• Ensure timely and comprehensive documentation that aligns with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Maintain awareness of the latest advancements within the speech-language pathology field through ongoing education and peer engagement.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
