- Conduct evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric clientele utilizing standardized assessments and clinical observations.
- Craft tailored treatment strategies to address immediate communication challenges alongside long-term cognitive or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver focused, individual speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing techniques.
- Work in concert with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop coherent care plans.
- Offer education and resources to patients and their loved ones, extending therapeutic progress beyond the clinic setting.
- Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, reinforcing continuity of care throughout the treatment pathway.
- Ensure timely and comprehensive documentation that aligns with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Maintain awareness of the latest advancements within the speech-language pathology field through ongoing education and peer engagement.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Mastery of evidence-based treatment techniques for all age brackets, with a deep appreciation for both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Excellent clinical judgment accompanied by strong problem-solving skills.
