Nanny Needed 4 Days/Week for Wonderful Family Near the DTC Open Position Highlights A quick look at this new ABC job… Located at: DTC / South Denver, near I-25 and Belleview Ave. Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Family is seeking a nanny Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 36 hours guaranteed each week. No regular evenings, weekends or additional hours are required, although occasional flexibility would be appreciated. Live-In / Live-Out: This is a live-out position. Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year. Start Date: ASAP Family and Household Dynamics A peek behind the front door... Children's Ages: Care will be for two children, 4 years old and 2 years old. About the Children: Primary care will be for a laid-back, energetic 2-year-old who loves books, cars, crafts and plenty of outdoor time. He especially enjoys bubbles, the water table, the swing set and walks near Cherry Creek Reservoir. He currently attends gymnastics on Tuesdays and soccer on Thursdays with Mom. His big brother is 4 and tends to be quiet and reserved when meeting someone new, but becomes very chatty once he feels comfortable. He loves arts and crafts, has plenty of energy and attends school Monday through Friday, with a mix of late-morning and early-afternoon dismissal times. He also attends occupational therapy. The boys enjoy playing together in the afternoons, and the family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the energy and developmental stages of toddlers and preschoolers. About the Family: Both parents work from home in dedicated offices and maintain a casual household atmosphere. Dad travels approximately one full week each month. The parents follow a gentle parenting approach inspired by Dr. Becky’s Good Inside philosophy, with an emphasis on calm communication, clear boundaries and respectful responses to behavior. Mom enjoys taking the children to their classes and activities herself whenever possible. During those periods, the nanny will have time to help with the children’s laundry, light cooking and household upkeep. About the Pets: The family has a 13-year-old Australian Shepherd who is very attached to Mom and typically follows her throughout the day. No pet care is required. Key Responsibilities A day in the life... Standard Duties: All standard nanny duties are requested, including providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care; engaging the children in play, reading, crafts and outdoor activities; preparing simple meals and snacks for the children; completing the boys’ laundry; tidying child-related spaces; and helping keep the children’s daily routines running smoothly. Mom handles regular school drop-off and pick-up and prefers to attend the children’s scheduled classes and activities herself. When Mom has one or both children out of the house, the nanny will shift into light household support, including children’s laundry, light meal preparation or cooking and light cleaning. No errands are required. Travel Requirements: No travel is required for this position. Desired Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications… 5+ years of professional nanny experience is strongly required, with meaningful experience caring for toddlers and preschool-age children. Must have positive employer references, as well. Previous experience caring for 2+ young children at once and confidently managing the energy, routines and developmental needs of this age group is required. No specific college degree is required. The family is open on education and will prioritize relevant experience and overall fit. The ideal candidate will be highly engaged, dependable and comfortable balancing active childcare with light household responsibilities during natural downtime in the children’s schedule. The family is looking for someone who is calm, patient and attentive, respects a gentle parenting philosophy and understands the importance of being fully present with young children throughout the workday. Compensation and Benefits Let’s talk dollars and cents… Rate of Pay (gross): The family is offering $35- $40/hour (gross). Based on 36 guaranteed hours per week, annualized gross compensation is approximately $65,520-$74,880 (gross). Benefits and Perks Offered: The family is offering two weeks of paid time off, paid sick time, standard paid federal holidays and is providing a nanny car to drive on the job. This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.
