Dental Office Assistant - Business Assistant

Parkland Family Dental is looking for a Business Assistant to join our team. The schedule is Monday 8:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday 8:30am-5:00pm, Wednesday 8:30am-6:00pm, Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm, Friday 8:30am-2:00pm.

More about the role includes greeting and welcoming patients, managing front office duties, utilizing Dentrix for patient scheduling and records, scheduling and confirming appointments, filing patient insurance claims, posting insurance and patient payments, reviewing treatment plan fees, and partnering with providers to implement systems to optimize office potential.

Minimum qualifications include experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment, excellent communication and organizational skills, and access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions with regular HIPAA training.

Preferred experience includes 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting, 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable, and Dentrix or other dental software experience.

Physical requirements include ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, prolonged periods sitting at a desk, ability to lift up to 15 pounds, availability to attend virtual training sessions, and a tuberculosis (TB) test for all new hires in dental office positions.
