Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of union payroll processing for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems, and union reporting and compliance, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. This role is crucial in ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Duties

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.

• Experience with union portals and payroll reporting.
\n
• Oversee the reconciliation of payroll data with the general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
\n
• Collaborate with Controller to maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry for new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
\n
• Utilize payroll software such as Foundation to process payroll efficiently.
\n
• Conduct regular audits of payroll processes to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
\n
• Prepare reports related to payroll metrics, including labor costs and tax liabilities for management review.
\n
• Assist in accounts payable functions as needed, ensuring proper allocation of expenses related to payroll.
\n
• Support corporate accounting initiatives through account reconciliation processes.
\n

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
\n
• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role within corporate accounting environments.
\n
• Strong knowledge of payroll software systems is essential.
\n
• Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation processes and accounts payable functions.
\n
• Understanding of tax regulations related to payroll processing.
\n
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments within the organization.
