Sr. Consultant, Business Systems Analysis

As a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis at CIBC, you will provide advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership, interprets complex information, and participates in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. Responsibilities Understanding and documenting requirements by working closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. Primarily work with the Rates desk; opportunities exist to work on other asset classes as part of a cross‑asset risk management platform. Solution design: build client‑focused solutions that meet business requirements, prepare and validate solution design documents, clarify scope, define solution requirements, and support quality assurance. Leading and mentoring: support end‑to‑end project implementation as a subject matter expert, provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals, maintain a collaborative work environment, and help resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. Qualifications 5‑8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a BCS role. Led projects and designed solutions across Capital Markets, Settlement or Fixed Income. Deep expertise in financial products, particularly Fixed Income, and familiarity with end‑to‑end trade processes. Experience with industry platforms and tools, including FIX protocol, XML, Oracle databases, Bloomberg TOMS, Alteryx, Confluence, and Jira in Agile environments. Advanced analytical and organizational abilities; adept at analyzing and understanding data, performing gap analysis, and utilizing Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft Office applications. Effective communicator, able to present detailed information in an impactful way.
