Position Overview:

The Technical Sales Coordinator is a key partner with the Regional Sales Manager, planning strategies and developing customer targets. The person in this role will create timely and accurate quotes for customers, help develop business relationships with resellers and distribution customers, expand the customer base, and respond to customer needs and inquiries. This role requires the ability to offer world class technical expertise and exceptional customer service at a fast pace.

Reporting Relationship: The Technical Sales Coordinator reports to Sales Manager Scott Missling

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Help Support and grow business relationship with key resellers for the purpose of exceeding revenue and gross margin targets.
• Assess product and service-related issues and act as a liaison between customers and HMC Sales; escalate as necessary
• Provide suggestions to customers for a project's bill of materials based on specifications provided by customer and provide necessary pricing recommendations
• Generate quotes and perform follow-up functions for distribution sales
• Effectively use ERP and CRM tools to manage account activity and communications with other HMC sales personnel
• Maintain excellent records, manage expense reports, and submit expense reports monthly
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• CRM software proficiency required
• Some knowledge of single and three phase UPS technology, and familiarity with complementary and competitive products preferred

Education and Experience:

• 4 year college or university degree, or related work experience
• 3+ years experience in a technical support and/or service environment
