Line Cook

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team at the Sheraton Suites Columbus/Worthington. Position Summary The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to brand standards and recipes while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional food quality and supporting overall guest satisfaction. What You’ll Do Food Preparation & Execution Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and plating guidelines Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner during service periods Maintain consistency, portion control, and presentation standards Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, or special events as needed Kitchen Operations Maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout shift Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe guidelines preferred) Properly label, date, and store food items Assist with inventory control and minimizing food waste Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members Support fellow associates during high-volume service Uphold a respectful and professional work environment What We’re Looking For 1+ year of culinary or restaurant kitchen experience preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Team-focused attitude and strong work ethic Physical & Work Environment Requirements Work is performed indoors in a commercial kitchen environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and move throughout the kitchen and restaurant. Frequent use of kitchen tools and equipment, including ovens, stovetops, and knives.
