About the Role
The Company is seeking an inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of modernizing and sustaining the infrastructure that supports public media. The CEO will be responsible for the organization's strategic leadership, operational and financial success, and will serve as the primary external representative. This role is pivotal in the transition from legacy systems to modern, IP-based distribution infrastructure, and in the development of a sustainable business model that ensures long-term viability. The ideal candidate will be a trusted and influential leader, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep commitment to the values of public media. They should be adept at building and leading high-performing teams, and have a proven track record in financial stewardship and business development. Key responsibilities for the CEO include strategy development and execution, maintaining a transparent relationship with the Board, and fostering an organizational culture that promotes teamwork, innovation, and accountability. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the digital media landscape, and will be expected to guide the development of technology roadmaps that align with the needs of public media organizations. They should also be skilled in external relations, public advocacy, and fundraising, with a focus on ensuring universal access to public media.
