Water Truck Operator - Surface Mining & Quarry Operations

Rock Pros USA is seeking a dependable and safety-minded Water Truck Operator to join our team at the Silver Bell Quarry . This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe working conditions, controlling dust, supporting production activities, and ensuring quarry roads remain in excellent operating condition. Water Truck Operations Safely operate a water truck throughout active quarry, mining, and production areas. Apply water to haul roads, stockpiles, loading areas, and work zones to control dust and improve visibility. Monitor weather, traffic, and site conditions to determine watering needs. Maintain proper moisture levels on roads and travel routes to support safe equipment operation. Refill water tanks and monitor water usage throughout the shift. Quarry Operations Support Support loaders, haul trucks, excavators, and other production equipment by maintaining safe work areas. Assist with road maintenance and dust suppression activities. Monitor haul roads and report hazards, erosion, washouts, or unsafe conditions. Participate in site housekeeping and cleanup efforts. Assist with operational projects and production support as assigned. Equipment Inspection & Maintenance Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections. Inspect tires, brakes, lights, pumps, hoses, spray bars, and fluid levels. Report equipment defects, maintenance concerns, and safety issues promptly. Maintain equipment cleanliness and professional appearance. Perform basic preventive maintenance as assigned. Safety & Compliance Follow all company policies, MSHA regulations, and site safety procedures. Wear required PPE at all times. Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and workplace examinations. Maintain awareness of equipment traffic, personnel, and changing site conditions. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. Requirements Required Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active mining operations. Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic. Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Preferred Previous water truck, haul truck, loader, excavator, or heavy equipment experience. Mining, quarry, aggregate, construction, or industrial experience. MSHA training or prior mine-site experience. Physical Requirements Ability to climb into and out of equipment multiple times per shift. Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods. Ability to walk on uneven terrain and work around active quarry operations. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments, including extreme Arizona temperatures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
