Manager, Venue Back Office Systems

We're looking for a Manager of Restaurant Back Office Systems to own and lead our CrunchTime platform strategy, administration, and integration ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring CrunchTime operates reliably as the backbone of restaurant-level inventory, labor, and operations management, while managing a small team and partnering closely with IT, Finance, and Operations stakeholders.This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set direction for the platform, develop and cross-train two direct reports so the team can cover for one another, and remain deeply technical enough to troubleshoot integration issues, guide configuration decisions, and evaluate system changes yourself.What You'll DoOwn the CrunchTime platform end-to-end, including configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and long-term roadmapLead, coach, and develop a team of 2 direct reports, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting their career growthCross-train direct reports across CrunchTime modules and integration points so the team has full coverage and no single point of failure during absences, escalations, or turnoverBuild individual development plans for direct reports, identifying growth opportunities and stretch assignments across platform, integration, and vendor management workManage and troubleshoot integrations between CrunchTime and:Point of Sale (POS) systemsSAP (financial/ERP data flows)Distribution partners such as Sysco (EDI/ordering, invoicing, and inventory feeds)Serve as the primary escalation point for data discrepancies, integration failures, and system outages affecting inventory, ordering, or labor dataPartner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure back office data supports accurate COGS, inventory valuation, and labor cost reportingManage vendor relationship with CrunchTime, including support tickets, release planning, and contract/renewal conversationsDefine and enforce data governance standards across restaurant back office workflowsDrive continuous improvement projects: new integrations, automation of manual processes, and system consolidation opportunitiesDevelop training materials and cross-training programs so both field teams and internal stakeholders can support back office systems beyond a single point of contactSupport new venue openings and system rollouts, ensuring CrunchTime is configured and integrated correctly at launchWhat You'll Bring5+ years of hands-on experience specifically with CrunchTime (inventory, labor, and/or operations modules)Proven experience managing integrations between CrunchTime and: POS platforms (Toast experience is a plus), SAP or similar ERP systemsDistribution/vendor partners (e.g., Sysco) via EDI or API-based ordering and invoicing feeds2+ years of experience directly managing or leading a team, with a track record of developing team members and preparing them to take on greater scopeExperience cross-training team members and building redundancy across critical systems and responsibilitiesStrong understanding of restaurant back-of-house operations: inventory management, food cost, labor scheduling, and vendor ordering workflowsExperience troubleshooting data flow issues across multiple systems (identifying whether a break is upstream, in CrunchTime, or downstream)Working knowledge of SQL or willingness to partner closely with data engineering teams for deeper diagnosticsExcellent stakeholder management skills; comfortable communicating with both technical teams and restaurant operations leadershipExperience supporting multi-unit restaurant environments preferredProject management experience, particularly around system implementations or rolloutsNice to HaveExperience with additional restaurant tech stack tools (labor scheduling systems, supply chain platforms, BI/reporting tools)Familiarity with EDI standards used in distributor integrationsExperience with Snowflake, Redshift, or similar cloud data warehousesPrior experience in a multi-unit hospitality, retail, or entertainment venue businessWhy This Role MattersBack office data accuracy directly affects food cost, labor cost, and profitability visibility across every location.
