Director of Workplace Operations & Facilities

A well-established professional services organization in Columbus is seeking a Director of Workplace Operations & Facilities to oversee facilities, administrative operations, and workplace services across multiple offices. This leader will evaluate existing processes, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and ensure support functions deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate brings experience leading teams across multiple locations and enjoys improving how an organization operates. Responsibilities Oversee facilities and workplace operations across multiple offices, ensuring spaces are well-maintained, functional, and aligned with organizational needs. Lead administrative and support functions, including reception, hospitality, document production, and general business services. Manage facilities-related projects, office improvements, vendor relationships, and workplace service initiatives. Evaluate existing operational structures, staffing models, and workflows to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and service quality. Develop and implement consistent service standards, policies, and procedures across locations. Lead, coach, and develop managers and support staff, establishing clear expectations and promoting accountability. Partner with organizational leadership to assess workplace needs, resolve operational challenges, and support business priorities. Oversee budgets, vendor contracts, expenses, and resource allocation for assigned operational functions. Lead process improvement and change management initiatives, ensuring effective implementation across offices. Monitor service delivery and operational performance, using feedback and performance measures to guide improvements. Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture focused on responsiveness, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Travel monthly to other offices to support teams, oversee projects, and assess operational needs. Qualifications Significant experience leading facilities, workplace services, administrative operations, or business support functions within a multi-office organization. Previous experience managing managers and developing teams across multiple operational functions. Demonstrated success improving operational structures, workflows, and service delivery. Experience overseeing facilities operations, workplace projects, vendor relationships, and related budgets. Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on operational leadership and problem‑solving. Experience managing budgets, contracts, and resource allocation. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and employees across the organization. Sound judgment and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations. Background in professional services or another service‑oriented, multi‑location environment preferred. Willingness to travel monthly to support office operations and organizational initiatives.
