USS: Operator Services (unscheduled, on call) Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. The Operator Service Specialist 1 serves our patients, staff, and business partners by providing operator assistance and paging assistance. Responsibilities include answering a high volume of incoming telephone calls and transferring callers to the appropriate resource, paging on-call resources and emergency response teams such as Code Blue, Rapid Response, and Trauma, and working in a high-volume call center while providing excellent customer service to those we serve. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum one year of call center or customer service experience with heavy phone volume preferred. Previous operator or call center experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Proficiency in operating a computer and answering telephones efficiently; keyboard speed of 35 wpm; ability to read, write legibly and speak professionally in English (Spanish preferred). Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to troubleshoot basic office equipment. Strong communication skills, ability to work calmly under pressure, collaborate, accept direction and prioritize workload. Attention to detail, ability to recall information accurately and solve problems independently with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements: Ability to distinguish colors and hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone. Ability to identify and distinguish sounds associated with the workplace.
