Job Description: TD Securities is currently seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Real Estate Investment Banking practice in New York. The successful candidate will play a vital role in all aspects of sourcing and executing Real Estate transactions and maintaining strategic dialog with clients. The candidate will be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of complex transactions. He or she will also play a critical role in developing junior professionals. Key Responsibilities Utilize real estate sector expertise in developing presentations, term sheets and financial models to analyze clients’ financial situations, financing, and M&A opportunities Manage deal execution and project management throughout the lifecycle of a transaction Construct detailed M&A and joint venture models and provide any necessary financial and statistical analysis Conduct deep industry and company-specific due diligence Oversee and/or assist in the preparation of business valuations Provide timely support to cross-functional teams such as Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, and Corporate Risk Solutions Create presentation materials and actively participate in client discussions Work independently to deliver presentations and client follow-up requests on a timely basis Guide junior bankers in the preparation of pitchbooks and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, management presentations, ad-hoc analysis, due diligence, and the building of financial models Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients Interact with senior TD Securities team members and client management teams on a daily basis to successfully execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives Qualifications 5 years of investment banking experience; Real Estate industry experience is strongly preferred Excellent analytical and modeling skills with a vast knowledge of finance and accounting principles Expertise in all phases of project management and deal execution with an established track record Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional setting Assist with idea generation and deal sourcing, when appropriate Able to provide direction and leadership to build a strong team environment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree from a leading university Series 79 and 63 preferred Who We Are TD Securities offers a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our innovation, execution, and experience.
