Civil Project Engineer - Transportation Infrastructure - Base Salary to 120k/year - Hunt Valley, MD

• Our client is seeking a Civil Project Engineer with 7+ years of professional experience to join their team in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
• This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of water resources and transportation infrastructure projects, including water resources design, stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrology, MS4, TMDL, bridge hydraulics, drainage, and floodplain modeling. The Civil Project Engineer will take a lead role on complex assignments, provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
• The position provides opportunities to take on increasing technical and project management responsibilities while developing expertise in water resources engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical supervision and direction for work performed by project team members.
• Coordinate technical activities across departments and disciplines.
• Develop and review engineering design documents, studies, calculations, and reports in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.
• Perform and support water resources engineering involving hydraulics, hydrology, stormwater management, drainage, floodplain modeling, MS4, TMDL, and bridge hydraulics.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for clients and support ongoing client communication.
• Coordinate the activities and deliverables of subconsultants.
• Participate in client presentations, public meetings, and other project-related meetings.
• Monitor project scope and deliverables to ensure work remains aligned with established requirements.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets and identify and address issues that may affect project delivery.
• Maintain project documentation, records, filing, and archiving in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide technical training, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and other project team members.
• Stay current with water resources design standards, methodologies, software, and industry practices.
• Support senior leadership on project delivery, technical assignments, and other initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or willingness to obtain one.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with water resources engineering, including water resources design, hydraulics, hydrology, floodplain modeling, MS4, TMDL, or related areas.

• Base salary in the 115k - 120k/year range
