Senior Mortgage Loan Officer — Remote (Purchase Producers)

Cardinal Financial is building a remote, nationwide team of senior loan officers whose business is purchase loans sourced through realtor and referral-partner relationships. Not a call-center seat. Not a refinance desk. Not a management role.

If you bring a real book of purchase business, we bring everything behind it: competitive compensation, a full product shelf (Conventional, VA, FHA, and a national down payment assistance program), in-house operations, real marketing support — including a proprietary partner-marketing system our loan officers use to stay in front of their realtor relationships — and direct access to leadership when a file needs help. No layers, no ticket queue.

What you'll do

- Originate and close purchase loans sourced through your realtor, builder, and referral-partner network

- Run VA, FHA, Conventional, and DPA scenarios for buyers — government lending is core to this team, not an afterthought

- Manage your pipeline remotely with in-house processing and underwriting support

- Keep growing your referral base with marketing support behind you

What you must bring — these are hard requirements

- An active NMLS license in good standing. State licenses in the states you originate in are preferred — federally registered bank and credit-union originators are also welcome to apply, and licensing support is available for the right producer.

- Verifiable production from the last 12 months: at least $8M funded, including double-digit purchase closings

- A majority of your business self-sourced through referral relationships — not company-fed refinance leads

- Current employment (or very recent employment) as a producing loan officer

- Experience working remotely and managing your own pipeline without a branch around you

- VA and/or FHA production on your record

This role is NOT a fit if:

- Your production is mostly or entirely refinance — this is a purchase seat, in every rate market

- You work in processing, underwriting, closing, servicing, or branch/ops management — this is an individual-producer seat

- Your license is inactive or lapsed

- You're newly licensed or haven't funded loans in the last 12 months

How selection works here

Production is verified through public records during screening. Apply with your real numbers — total funded volume, unit count, and purchase count for the last 12 months, plus your NMLS number. Applications without production figures and an NMLS number are not reviewed.
