Job Type: Full Time – On Campus

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Career Services Coordinator has a full performance position inside the Career Services Department dealing with students, instructors, employers, private sector, companies outside representatives, college management and its staff.

How YOU will impact our students/Alumni:

Job Placement

• 
  Prepare students for all job seeking activities including but not limited to resume preparation, job hunting and referrals, interview techniques (phone, panel and face to face interviews), enforcing all inter-office protocol, and state job regulations.
• 
  Maintain accurate files and records on all student job placement activity
• 
  Maintain all pertinent current information in the college data management systems in order to properly prepare reports each month, including placement percentages of all graduates and those hired.
• 
  Must obtain and keep records of Employment verification forms of all hired graduates.
• 
  Must work with current and past cohorts for job placement.
• 
  Conduct mock interviews for students.
• 
  Develop and deliver classroom presentations on industry trends, labor market information, employment preparation, and other related topics as requested by faculty.

Business Development

• 
  Identifying new Clinical sites/ Medical facilities/ Technical facilities and Employers (clinical rotations and job placement)
• 
  Pitching employers to hire our graduates. Maintaining and updating a potential employer database.
• 
  Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing employers and clinical sites management.
• 
  Proactively develops Career Services relationships with local employers through in-person visits and correspondence. Arranges for interviews and placements of student graduates. Secures employment for a predetermined number of student graduates.
• 
  Coordinate career job fair events; conducts employer site visits to campus; promotes program visits to students and faculty; greets employers, assists with set-up as needed, and debriefs with employers to assess satisfaction and discuss improvements.

Externship

• 
  Provide on time information to Student Services, Financial Aid, and Fiscal departments, after assuring instructor has released the student for clinical rotations.
• 
  Provide externship orientations and obtain proper students release documentation prior to externship start dates.
• 
  Coordinate with externship sites to determine start dates, schedules, and site regulations.
• 
  Track and record student clinical rotations accumulated hours on weekly basis.
• 
  Maintain a close contact at all times with students while at their clinical sites and site administration as well.
• 
  Visit clinical sites on a constant basis to ensure quality of training and keep relationship with the sites. Some local travel will be required.
• 
  Schedule Students Follow up meetings every 2 months for long-term externships.
• 
  Maintain a professional and administrative/ staff and student relationship at all times.
• 
  Report any and all students’ incidents of non-compliance of school rules, policies, and regulations to school Directors.
• 
  Attend all workshops or seminars in order to learn new techniques or meet standard guidelines and in addition to acquire new clients for new enrollments.
• 
  Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
• 
  Help and participate in the preparation of School Advisory Board meetings and establish recruitment for new board members.
• 
  This position requires local Southern California travel to externship and employers’ sites.

Licenses and Certification Services

• 
  Assisting the students with their career Licenses and Certifications processes.
• 
  Maintain updated knowledge of the different Career Licenses and Certifications regulations and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Great Communication skills (verbal and written)
• 
  Associate Degree is a plus
• 
  Prior experience on Job Placement and Business Development for Vocational Schools is a plus.
• 
  Computer literate on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• 
  MUST have own reliable transportation and Driver License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay range: $21 - $23
