Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in an independent retail setting. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with a chance to transition into a permanent role. The pharmacy operates with a daily prescription volume of approximately 100 scripts and is supported by a team of three pharmacy technicians.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment duration

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Manage staff and workflow scheduling
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date prescription records using computer-based entry systems
• Provide excellent patient counseling and pharmaceutical care

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Massachusetts pharmacy license required
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings is essential
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge is preferred but not required; motivated staff pharmacists interested in stepping into a managerial role will be considered
• Strong organizational and leadership skills

Environment and Tools:

• Independent retail pharmacy environment
• Utilization of Computer RX for order entry
• Collaboration with three dedicated pharmacy technicians
