Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A career opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to work in an independent retail pharmacy setting. This role offers a chance to serve as the sole pharmacist and pharmacy manager, overseeing a team of three pharmacy technicians and managing approximately 100 prescriptions daily. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, making it well-suited for those seeking a consistent daytime work schedule.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in prescription dispensing.
Provide exceptional patient care and medication counseling.
Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians.
Utilize computer-based prescription order entry systems.
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Opportunity to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or transition from staff pharmacist to pharmacy manager.

Qualifications:

Active Massachusetts pharmacy license is required.
Proven retail pharmacy experience.
Experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a busy pharmacy workflow.

Additional Information:

Location: Shelburne Falls, MA.
Position Type: Contract to hire, with an initial assignment of 13 weeks.
Shift: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Pharmacy environment: Independent retail pharmacy.
Prescription volume: Approximately 100 scripts per day.
Staff size: 3 pharmacy technicians with sole pharmacist coverage.
