Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join one of our fast-growing non-profit clients located in Manhattan's Upper West Side. The ideal candidate will have Sage Intacct experience and possess a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role will focus primarily on month-end close procedures, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Track property expenses and ensure proper allocation of costs.
• Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and funder reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the non-profit industry.
• Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

Compensation: $35 - $45/hr, depending on experience.
