What you will do: Under the supervision of CER management, the Transportation Operator plays a dual role in the organization’s alternative fuel and cement manufacturing operations by safely transporting materials to and from various sites and facilities and assisting with manual labor tasks. This role primarily involves operating commercial vehicles, adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies and safety protocols. Main responsibilities include: Transport solid fuel materials between operational facilities. Load and unload materials using heavy equipment and manual labor as required. Collect and deliver tires and wood by‑products. Perform daily preventative, routine maintenance and DOT inspections. Maintain accurate electronic and/or paper records of receiving and delivered inventory. Work independently and as part of a team. Carry out alternative fuels operational duties as assigned. Maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies, perform daily housekeeping and workplace inspections. Ensure quality of work, participate in continuous improvement programs, observe best practices and exercise good time‑management skills. Experience and abilities you will need: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in industrial environments, waste management, or bulk material transport. Ability to operate material‑handling equipment such as skid steer, loader, screen, tire shredder and tire debeader. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good physical condition to perform duties, including climbing in and out of trucks, bending, lifting at least 50 lbs kneeling, walking, standing, climbing and securing loads in various weather conditions.
