Data Scientist, Sr. Specialist, Supply Risk Analytics

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Data Scientist, Sr. Specialist to join the Supply Risk Analytics team in New Brunswick, NJ. The role focuses on developing AI-enabled analytics and machine learning models to quantify and mitigate risk across the pharmaceutical supply network, working alongside experienced data scientists in an early-career position with clear growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine learning and probabilistic models, including Monte Carlo simulation, to quantify supply risk metrics
• Build generative AI features using Claude for risk narratives, intelligent alerts, and automated scenario analysis
• Create interactive dashboards and front-ends (Streamlit, React) to operationalize risk models for business users
• Partner with supply chain and business continuity stakeholders to translate risk questions into analytical problems and present findings
• Write clean, reusable Python and SQL code; work with data engineering on Databricks and AWS Glue pipelines

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in data science, statistics, operations research, engineering, computer science, or related life sciences discipline
• 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, informatics, IT, or scientific data-focused role
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling
• Solid grounding in statistics, probability, and hands-on exposure to machine learning or generative AI
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and learning-oriented mindset
• Ability to work effectively across global teams and multiple time zones
