This position will work in a Union environment./ppAfter an individual applies and meets the minimum qualifications for the position, technical testing will be scheduled. Passing the technical testing is required to move forward through the hiring process. Interviews will be scheduled with select individuals based on position requirements. If an offer is made, the individual must then complete and pass a comprehensive physical function test, background check and drug screen to start work./ppThe current rates for this position range from $32.90 - $47.00. Candidates are offered a rate depending on their years of direct relevant experience./ph3Major Responsibilities/h3pThis position is responsible for the monitoring and operation of plant process equipment used in the manufacturing process. The Outside Operator evaluates the units operating status and performs troubleshooting of processes and equipment in order to maximize unit reliability and product quality. They document various operating parameters and maintain communication with others inside and outside of their department. The incumbent also monitors maintenance activities and performs minor maintenance. The Outside Operator must be aware of and follow all safety and security guidelines according to Company policy and in compliance with all applicable environmental, safety and government regulations. The Outside Operator role supports and is cross trained in three areas within the position: PZ, Acetic Acid, Utilities and Support Areas./ph3Responsibilities/h3pThe processor position is responsible for various duties associated with product manufacturing from raw material delivery to shipment of product that include the following:/pulliResponsible for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with state and federal environmental regulations./liliTakes personal leadership role in daily activities, task planning, incident investigations and work performance as they relate to the sites key focus areas of Safety, Environmental, Quality, Reliability, and Cost of operation./liliResponsible for gaining and maintaining process knowledge of the unit and process changes to the unit, to enable effective operation and detection of unusual process conditions; uses knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues./liliResponsible for taking readings, utilizing plant data/control systems and observing process conditions on a continual basis to maintain good control of the unit./liliProvides accurate and timely communication to co-workers, and works with other functions to improve individual and unit performance. Provides ideas, raises concerns, and promotes an environment in which everyone is treated with respect./liliResponsible for performing minor maintenance on equipment./liliResponsible for placing systems in a safe condition for maintenance work through the Safe Work Permit process, supporting maintenance activities and communicating statuses./liliEnsure proper shift turnover by providing effective written and oral communications to the relieving shift that cover routine and non-routine issues, problems faced, unit operating conditions, etc./liliParticipating in process safety improvement through MOC process, PHAs, Incident Investigations, and other activities./liliParticipating in training and assisting in the training of new employees./liliResponding to emergency situations as required./liliApplying statistical tools to enhance product quality and participating on improvement teams./liliStartup, shutdown, isolation, and decontamination of plant equipment./liliUnderstanding and complying with administrative duties for government regulations from federal and state agencies./li/ulh3Required Qualifications:/h3ulli18 Years of Age with a High School diploma or GED./liliINTERNAL: Internal Candidates for this position must meet one of the following qualifications:/liulli1 year INEOS Logistics Operator experience 2 years working as a manufacturing operator or equivalent in a chemical plant/refinery./liliFully qualified INEOS Logistics Operator that has worked all qualifications for a minimum of 1 year (1-year timeframe starts on the day the operator receives last qualification sign off)/lili4.5 years working as an INEOS Logistics Operator/li/ulliEXTERNAL: 18 Years of Age with a High School diploma or GED and at least one of the following qualifiers:/liulli3+ years Manufacturing Operator experience; pumps, distillation, exchangers, tanks, etc./lili4+ years of active military experience in a role that is technical in nature; Applicant must provide a copy of DD214 military discharge paperwork./li/ulliMust possess or obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to first day of employment/liliPossess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States./liliMust be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident)/liliPossess skills, knowledge, and training related to implementation of Life Saving Rules: LOTO, system and process openings, working at heights, hot work, confined space entry, energized electrical work./liliBasic knowledge of chemicals and their safe handling/liliKnowledge of pumps, transfer system and piping diagrams/liliAbility to read and understand instruments and gauges/liliGood process troubleshooting/problem solving skills/liliBasic understanding of window-based programs: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook/liliStrong written and verbal communication skills/liliWell-developed teamwork and leadership skills/liliSelf-initiated learning/liliTime management processes and skills/liliSelf-initiated corrective actions/follow-through/li/ulh3Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:/h3ulliKnowledge of process, laboratory, and mechanical operations/liliKnowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, RCRA)/liliKnowledge of PLC / DCS systems/liliPossess skills, knowledge, and training related to implementation of life critical processes: LOTO, system and process openings, working at heights, hot work, confined space entry, energized electrical work./liliBasic knowledge of chemicals and their safe handling/liliKnowledge of pumps, transfer system and piping diagrams/liliKnowledge of process, laboratory, and mechanical operations/liliKnowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, RCRA)/liliKnowledge of PLC / DCS systems/liliExperience with safe work practices/liliExperience with maintenance activities/liliExperience with Emergency Response/li/ulh3Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:/h3ulliMust be physically able to be a member of our ERT (Emergency Response Team)/liliMust be willing and able to work outside, year-round under various weather conditions.
