Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes system troubleshooting, working with mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, managing parts inventory, and identifying and resolving safety issues related to both Company and customer-owned equipment. This position requires direct customer interaction and may involve working across multiple sites and technologies. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

• Daily local travel with some overnight stays away from home.

• Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.).

• Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card.

• Clean driving record.

• Work experience preferred.

• 0-2 years of technical work experience; 1 year preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Driving Requirements:

• Driver Application for Employment.

• Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

• Driver Disclosure and Release

• Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement

• FMCSA Certificate of Awareness

• Driver Certificate of Violations

• Driver Statement of On-Duty Hours/Road Test

• Copy of Driver's License

• Copy of Medical Certificate

Skill Requirements:

• Electrical, mechanical, diesel, and/or fusion experience depending on business unit.

• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

• Technically sound with strong troubleshooting abilities.

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications and smart devices.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to synthesize technical information and communicate it clearly.

• Uses customer insights to develop solutions and solve problems in new and unexpected situations.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $27 to $29 an hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
