Accounting Assistant

Overview Let Vaco Recruiters advocate for you! We are currently looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant. As an Accounting Assistant, you’ll be a key part of a finance team, helping with day-to-day accounting tasks like data entry, invoice processing, and account reconciliation. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you should be organized, reliable, and ready to learn. What You’ll Do Enter and process accounts payable and receivable transactions Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Support with internal reporting and audits as needed Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing issues General administrative support for the accounting team What We’re Looking For Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role (1+ years preferred) Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel proficiency is a plus) Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
