Check out our job openings, and we look forward to working with you.Summary/ObjectiveThe Painter is responsible for painting OGI units before and after work is complete to ensure is ready for shipment.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Blasting steel parts prior to fabrication and after completion.Ability to mix paint to manufacturer’s instructions.Apply coatings through conventional, airless, and plural spray systems.Operate various types of equipment such as blast pots and spray guns.Cleans and prepares surface for painting, using air-powered sandblasting equipment.Knowledge of various painting methods and applications.Ability to use a mill gauge.Disassembles paint and sandblasting equipment and cleans equipment, using solvent, wire brushes, and dry cloth.Ensure required profile is met.Understanding or reading of drawings and/or blueprints.Stay on production schedule and follow company policies and procedures.Ability to operate a forklift and crane.Perform other duties as assigned.OGI has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.CompetenciesTechnical Capacity.Detail Oriented.Time Management.Communication Skills.Supervisor ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentNon-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, sandblasting hood, paint masks, respirator and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position.
