Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist) – Travel Contract in Spokane, WA

Travel Sonographer Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170–$2,330
• Location: Spokane, Washington
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract with potential temporary-to-permanent opportunity
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• Assignment End Date: February 22, 2027
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week; 8-hour day shifts, approximately 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call and Weekend Schedule: No regular weekends, nights, or on-call shifts
• Patient Volume: Approximately 7–9 detailed examinations per day
• Scrubs: Any color without prints

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional diagnostic ultrasound experience, including OB/GYN practice
• ARDMS certification with the OB/GYN registry required
• Nuchal translucency (NT) certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Fetal echocardiography experience required
• Outpatient ultrasound experience required
• Demonstrated experience with high-risk obstetrics and detailed fetal anatomical surveys
• Epic and electronic medical record experience required
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and support diagnostic imaging needs within the sonographer’s scope of practice

Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine ultrasound examinations for high-risk obstetric patients
• Complete first-, second-, and third-trimester studies, fetal anatomical surveys, growth assessments, and Doppler evaluations
• Perform fetal echocardiograms and nuchal translucency examinations
• Evaluate fetal anatomy and document findings involving the head, heart, brain, abdomen, extremities, placenta, umbilical cord, uterus, and ovaries
• Perform transvaginal and other appropriate obstetric imaging examinations
• Accurately document and communicate examination findings to maternal-fetal medicine physicians using Epic and PACS
• Assist physicians with amniocentesis, amnioreduction, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and PUBS procedures
• Provide compassionate, professional care to adolescent and adult patients throughout the imaging experience
• Support nearby locations within scope of practice when operational needs require
