Contract (13 or 26-week options available) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48-hour weekly options | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a general medical surgical and telemetry unit serving patients with conditions including total knee and hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses
• Manage and monitor patients on IV drips , which are required on all floors
• Care for patients on the secured 7th floor, which includes a behavioral health population with conditions such as detox and dementia; training for safety and de-escalation is provided
• Float frequently within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units and campuses as directed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics/swoop, and LPNs (where assigned)
• Document accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska RN license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date may be adjusted if license is not yet in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting (Level I Academic Medical Center experience required for first-time travelers to be considered)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Comfort and ability to care for behavioral health patient populations, including those flagged as potentially violent
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
• Experience floating across multiple unit types within a large acute care hospital system
