We are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and collaborative Pursuits & Proposal Manager to lead the developmentofqualifications,proposals,interviews,andpursuitstrategiesthatpositiontheLosAngeles studio for continued growth. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), Landscape Architecture, or Planning industry who understands that successful pursuits begin long before an RFP is released. The ideal candidate will help organize, coordinate, and elevate the studio’s proposal processwhileworkingcloselywithprincipals,projectmanagers,consultants,andthefirm’smarketingand communications teams. Position Summary: ThePursuits&ProposalManagerservesastheoperationalleadforthestudio’sproposalprocess—from opportunity identification through proposal submission and interview preparation. Thisindividualwillmanagemultipleconcurrentpursuits,coordinatemultidisciplinaryteams,develop compelling and complete RFQ/RFP packages, and ensure that each submission reflects the quality, creativity, and technical excellence of SWA’s work. Successinthisrolerequiresexceptionalorganization,strongwritingandeditingskills,anappreciationfor design, and an understanding of how landscape architecture firms pursue and win work. Key Responsibilities: LeadandmanageRFQ/RFPsubmissionsfromopportunityidentificationthroughfinal submission. Coordinateproposalkick-offmeetings,meetsubmissionmilestones,andprovidestrategicinput for interview preparation. SupportGo/No-Godiscussionsandassistleadershipinprioritizingpursuit opportunities. Write,edit,organizeproposalnarrativesincollaborationwithprincipalsandproject teams. CoordinatewithSWA’sfirmwideMarketing&Communicationsteamandproposalprofessionals across other offices. Supportstrategicinitiativesthatstrengthenthefirm’soverallpursuit capabilities. Developrelationshipswithconsultants,subconsultants,engineers,andstrategic partners. Attendpre-proposal meetings. Qualifications: Bachelor’sinLandscapeArchitecture,Architecture,UrbanPlanning,EnvironmentalDesign, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline. 3—7yearsofexperiencemanagingproposalsorpursuitswithintheArchitecture,Engineering, Construction (AEC), planning, or landscape architecture industry. DemonstratedexperiencecoordinatingRFQ/RFPsubmissionsandinterview presentation. AdvancedproficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeandAdobeCreativeSuite(InDesign,Illustrator, Photoshop). Preferred: Master’sdegreeinLandscapeArchitecture,Architecture,UrbanPlanning,EnvironmentalDesign, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline. Experiencesupportinglandscapearchitecture,architecture,engineering,orplanning firms. FamiliaritywithCRMandproposalmanagement software. Experiencecoordinatingwithmultidisciplinaryconsultant teams.
