Senior Accountant (Development)

The Hybrid Senior Accountant can work in Miami or Broward, This role is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting, performing essential accounting functions, and relying on judgment and experience to achieve goals. Month-End Closing Validate tenant adjustments, ensure timely bank deposits, and reconcile rent rolls. Coordinate with property management for operational issues affecting financial reporting. - Work with GC on timely construction billing and monthly site inspections. Reporting Prepare monthly financial reports and statements for manager review. Distribute reports to servicers, trustees, and investors. Prepare loan reports and year-end packages for auditors. Submit monthly draw packages to lenders. General Ledger Reconciliation Analyze financial statements and reconcile general ledger accounts. Maintain job cost reports and prepare monthly budget vs. actual reconciliations. Monthly bank statement and journal entry reconciliation. Cash Management Monitor cash positions and prepare working capital reports. Review and approve vendor payables. Track development draws and vendor payments. A solid understanding of the accounting cycle is essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines and strong reconciliation skills

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, along with 5-8 years of experience in development and property management
• Job cost experience is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required, as well as familiarity with accounting systems such as YARDI and Timberline
