HR / Recruiting CoordinatorLocation: Petaluma, CA (Hybrid) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Compensation: $33–$38/hour DOE (Non-Exempt) Employment Type: Temporary (minimum 3 months) with strong potential for Temp-to-HirePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused HR Coordinator / Recruiting Coordinator to join a growing Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys supporting employees throughout the onboarding process, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow with an organization that is investing in its people and processes.This position will primarily support the onboarding and administrative coordination of newly hired employees, ensuring a seamless hiring experience from offer acceptance through the onboarding process. While this is not a recruiting role, there is potential to take on additional recruiting coordination responsibilities as the organization continues to evolve.This position is expected to last at least three months, with a strong possibility of converting to a permanent role for the right individual.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the onboarding process for newly hired employeesInitiate and monitor background checks and pre-employment screeningsPrepare, distribute, and track onboarding paperwork and required documentationEnsure all onboarding activities are completed accurately and in a timely mannerServe as a primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding processCommunicate professionally with candidates via phone and emailMaintain employee records and perform HR data entry within the HRIS systemProtect confidential employee information and maintain data integrityFollow established HR procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvementAssist with interview scheduling and other recruiting coordination activities as neededSupport additional HR projects and administrative initiatives as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in Human Resources, Recruiting Coordination, or HR AdministrationExperience coordinating onboarding or employee lifecycle activitiesStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComfortable communicating with candidates and employees by phone and emailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environmentProfessional demeanor with a high level of discretion and confidentialityStrong customer service mindset and follow-throughSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a teamPreferred QualificationsExperience processing background checks and pre-employment requirementsExposure to payroll processesExperience using multiple HRIS or payroll platforms such as Paycom, ADP, UKG, Paychex, or similar systemsExperience supporting recruiting or talent acquisition teamsMicrosoft Office SuiteExperience working within an HRIS requiredEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceWork Environment & ScheduleHybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite in PetalumaStandard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMCollaborative and team-oriented office environmentFlexible onsite daysWhy This Opportunity?This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization during an exciting period of transformation.
