Organization Orthopaedics Team 10 Job Summary Applies the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team, collaborates on patient goal setting, evaluates progress, and engages in professional learning activities as required by the Board of Nursing. You will care for patients undergoing joint replacements, fractures, general trauma, orthopaedic trauma, emergency general surgery, dislocations, and related conditions. What You’ll Need At least 1 year of RN experience Valid nursing degree State or Compact license (TN license within 60 days of obtaining a TN address, even if holding a compact license) Key Responsibilities Collaborate in establishing and coordinating the plan of care and anticipate patient needs across the continuum. Analyze comprehensive information to determine nursing diagnosis. Use the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions. Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Additional duties may be assigned as part of the general overview of the position. Technical Capabilities Evidence‑Based Practice (Novice): Basic proficiency in searching for evidence to answer clinical questions. Care Planning (Novice): Ability to anticipate resource needs, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments with minimal disruption. Nursing Patient Education (Novice): Proficiency in providing patient education in moderate‑difficulty practical applications. Nursing Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Novice): Ability to assess, evaluate, and gather clinical data to support patient care decisions.
