Inpatient care is supported by ICU stalls with oxygen support and remote monitoring, an isolation room, and dedicated hospitalization and reproduction stalls. A surgical wing includes induction and recovery spaces, and a lameness evaluation area enhances equine diagnostics and treatment. On-site diagnostics and advanced modalities include an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, and comprehensive reproductive services. - Provide high-quality care for equine and small animal patients across wellness, urgent, and medical cases
- Perform comprehensive exams, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and deliver client education
- Utilize on-site diagnostics and imaging to guide case management
- Perform soft tissue and basic orthopedic procedures as appropriate to experience; refer or collaborate for advanced cases
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold controlled substance protocols
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, and client service teams to ensure smooth, efficient workflow
- Contribute to hospital protocols, participate in daily case rounds, and support continuous quality improvement
- Mentor and be mentored, depending on experience and interests Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited program
- License to practice veterinary medicine in South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical communication skills and a commitment to high standards of care
- Comfort working in a team-based environment serving both equine and small animal patients
