Facilities Manager

As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted production operations. You will manage utility systems and develop preventative maintenance programs while planning and implementing cost-effective procedures to enhance operations.

Responsibilities

• Review job orders to determine responsibility.
• Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
• Direct activities on utility systems such as heat, HVAC, steam, electric power, and air supply.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs.
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for compliance with operational standards.
• Plan, develop, and implement new procedures to improve operations and minimize costs.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Direct employee training to improve work performance.
• Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds.
• Manage third-party providers.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Maintain and uphold Reliability & Maintenance KPIs.
• Supervise maintenance teams of 5-10+ technicians.
• Manage capital projects and inventory control.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Deep knowledge and implementation of CMMS Systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial electro-mechanical systems including motors, bearings, gearboxes, VFDs, and controls.
• Experience in troubleshooting.
• Experience managing capital projects and inventory control.
• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams of 5-10+ technicians.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of Refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage, logistics, warehouse, transportation, or industrial operations preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA, USDA, SQF, GMP, or HACCP requirements is a plus.

Work Environment

This full-time position generally operates from Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5 PM, with occasional extended hours up to 10-12 hours per day.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Queens, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

This is a full-time position where the hours might shift slightly. Generally, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5pm. Occasionally, you might work up to 10-12 hours per day.

This is a fully onsite position in Queens,NY.
