The best is yet to come!Why you want this jobThe Purchasing Analyst will analyze demand, inventory, supplier performance, lead times, and purchasing trends to identify risks and opportunities and make recommendations that improve product availability and inventory efficiency.This role works closely with Lab Operations, Inventory, suppliers, and the broader Purchasing team and requires someone who can balance analytical work with the day-to-day execution needed to keep the lab running efficiently.What you’ll doCreate, submit, and maintain purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers.Review demand, inventory, open orders, lead times, and usage trends to determine purchasing requirements.Partner closely with Lab Operations to understand production requirements, material priorities, and upcoming demand.Communicate inventory risks, supplier delays, and potential shortages to appropriate stakeholders.Forecast for the manufacturers and collaborate with their sales rep.Assist with analytical projects and reporting for both Purchasing and Optical Lab, helping to push them forward, and be part of the strategy group.Be part of the pipeline for future growth.What you'll need2+ years of financial, operational, purchasing, freight, or analytical experience is preferred.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.Work-positive attitude, who will be an additive to our award-winning customer service, for both internal and external customers.Ownership and ability to project manage, pushing critical items to completion.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.Proficiency in Excel and analytical tools.PerksFree eye exams for your entire familyDeep discounts on lenses, glasses, and other servicesAmazing healthcare coverage401(k) matchFlexible PTOTuition reimbursement programIn-house restaurant with highly discounted meals (Steak dinner under $6)Free snacks, ice cream, and drinks every dayFull onsite gymWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
