Branch Supervisor

Job Description Position Purpose The Branch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations of a branch in tandem with the Branch Manager. Duties include staff training and safety, building rapport with customers and the community, and creating & implementing strategies to improve productivity and sales performance in efforts to achieve the financial targets. Essential Functions Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory, perform physical branch inventories as needed. Maintain a qualified staff within defined headcount parameters. Manage day-to-day work, processes, payroll, attendance, time off, evaluations, discipline, and hiring decisions. Provide training, coaching, development, and motivation to improve branch performance. Support and enforce a culture of safety that adheres to all safety policies. Ensure all work required (including discrepancy processing) is completed efficiently, accurately, and timely, including but not limited to receiving, restocking, picking, shipping, returns, inventory management. Ensure standards of performance as a basis of review. Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity. Ensure customers receive efficient, expedient service by all personnel and provide support on escalated customer requests as needed. Ensure all front counter operations are performed per policies and procedures. Manage retail display area to meet company goals and objectives. Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulatory and applicable laws. Must be able to pass certification of training on warehouse equipment where applicable (e.g., fork truck, wave picker, pallet jack, etc.). Special projects as assigned by management. Experience Requirements Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills Ability to perform in stressful and demanding environment Ability to motivate, lead, and develop staff Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience desired Minimum 1 year customer service experience Proficient in Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook) Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel may be required.
