About the Role
As a Press Brake Operator, you will operate, set up, and adjust press brake machinery to form high-quality metal parts used in commercial ceiling systems. You'll work with steel, aluminum, and various angled components - ensuring every part meets strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation
- Set up, adjust, and run press brakes according to job specifications.
- Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job.
- Form components from blueprints or work orders within required tolerances.
- Inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and precision tools.
- Record production, waste, and quality data.
- Maintain strict quality and safety standards.
- Follow OSHA and company safety rules at all times.
- Keep work area clean (sweeping, debris removal).
- Package finished parts and assist with other machinery when trained.
- Press brake or metal fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Prior machine operator or manufacturing experience required
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Familiarity with metal types, fabrication processes, and tolerances
- Willingness to learn additional machinery (turrets, presses, benders)
- Manufacturing plant (hot/cold temps, noise, dust, uneven surfaces)
- PPE required: safety glasses, ear protection, steel/composite toe boots
- Additional PPE provided when needed
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials
- Ability to lift 20 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Occasional kneeling, climbing, or crouching
- Must meet vision requirements for precision measurement
