MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK AM/PM SHIFTS. MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY AND WORK 2-3 SHIFTS PER WEEK. This is a part time position. This position pays $26.78 per hour. Looking for a Line Cook to join the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter Team! The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and delivering food orders efficiently, timely and consistently in quality and presentation for Altitude our award winning Sky Lounge. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness observing required health and safety standards according to hotel policy, CA regulations and brand standards.

Job duties include completing opening duties as assigned, setting up physical aspects of stations, making preparation lists of necessary food items, requisitioning all listed food items and transporting from walk-in, checking quality and quantity of all stock and supplies, ensuring a sufficient supply of all chinaware for service, ensuring cleanliness and condition of assigned station, preparing necessary food items for meal period and next service, monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas, cooking for scheduled meal period, completing closing duties assigned, properly covering, labeling and changing out all pans, storing food items in their proper place, wiping down and cleaning station as assigned, organizing prep for all stations to ensure that all food is completed on time, preparing food in a manner consistent with company procedures, meeting guest requests, ensuring that food quality is high and consistent, daily check on prep and par levels of all items for all stations, prepping meats, fishes, marinades, sauces and soups at times as directed by the Director of F&B, using sanitation buckets at all times, keeping towels, knives and utensils in sanitizer solution, maintaining temperatures of all potentially dangerous foods above 135 or below 41, improving and maintaining cleanliness of all areas of the banquet kitchen, covering, labeling and dating all food at all times, removing soiled wares from station as assigned and transporting to dishwashing area, following supervisor's instructions as requested, following maintenance program and cleaning schedule, alerting management as to any deficiencies of food items, notifying management of any pertinent information related to shift activities, alerting management as to any maintenance needs or safety hazards.

Job requirements include prior experience cooking in large batches preferred, at least 1 year experience as a Restaurant/Banquet Cook preferred, previous hotel kitchen experience a plus.
