Large Enterprise Account Executive

Overview As an Account Executive in the Field Sales Operations organization, you will focus on net new revenue generation, guiding new customers through the transition from legacy platforms to Workday’s enterprise management cloud. Your role involves developing and executing strategies to prioritize, target, and close key opportunities in assigned territories and building lasting relationships with customers. Responsibilities Develop a strategy for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities in the assigned territory. Perform account planning for assigned accounts, coordinating with pre‑sales and other resources to ensure strategic alignment. Initiate and support sales of Workday solutions within large enterprise prospects and share the Workday value proposition. Develop relationships with net new customers and focus on deal management, connecting customers with core Financials solutions. Negotiate deals with C‑suite executives to close opportunities. Maintain accurate and timely data for customer/prospect pipeline and service forecasts. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud based ERP, HCM, Financial, Planning, or Analytics solutions to C‑level executives from a field sales position. 5+ years of experience collaborating with internal teams (pre‑sales, value, inside sales) to achieve quota and manage multiple deals simultaneously. 5+ years of experience managing longer deal cycles, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities. Other Qualifications Proven experience understanding the strategic competitive landscape by staying up to date with industry trends and customer needs. Ability to quickly establish trust with key stakeholders. Prior experience partnering with internal team members on account strategies for short and long-term prospecting and territory management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Pay Transparency Primary location base pay range: $134,200 USD – $201,300 USD. Additional US locations have the same base pay range. Compensation may also include a bonus plan, role‑specific commission, or annual refresh stock grants, depending on factors such as geography, experience, and business need. Flexible Work Approach Workday requires employees to spend at least 50% of their time each quarter in the office, remote, or in the field.
